Rolls-Royce Motor Cars CEO Torsten Müller-Ötvös congratulates Gad Bitton at the unveiling of his new showroom last week.
The only Rolls-Royce dealership in Quebec had a most spectacular grand opening last
Wednesday at the brand new 100,000 square foot corporate headquarters of the Holand Automotive Group on Decarie Boulevard. More than 500 people were on hand to celebrate the occasion with music, lights and a catered reception. Celebrity guests ranged from Bombardier's Pierre Beaudoin to Montreal Impact president Joey Saputo.
Gad Bitton, the president of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Quebec and Holand Automotive
Group, said he was most proud of the fact that he delivered a new showroom exactly one year to the day he pledged to do so. The original structure was demolished. Officials from Pomerleau Construction, working with Rolls-Royce Motor Cars worldwide, made sure the new showroom arrived exactly according to specs.
Torsten Müller-Ötvös, Chief Executive Officer of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, travelled from
world headquarters in London, England for the opening. "What a stunning building this
is," he stated. "I am deeply impressed."
Bitton recalled his first meeting with Müller-Ötvös in 2010 in England. "I forgot to tell him I was kosher," he recalled. "Torsten asked if I wanted to have lunch and before
I could say 'no" he said he had looked after me and out came a kosher lunch. I really got
Rolls-Royce service that day."
Müller-Ötvös and Bitton proceeded to unveil what they called the world's most anticipated SUV called Cullinan, which began over four years ago. This becomes the first ultra-luxury SUV ever produced by Rolls-Royce.
"Our customers expect to go everywhere in luxury, effortlessly and without compromise, conquering the most challenging terrain to enjoy life's most enriching experiences, wherever they may be," said Müller-Ötvös. "For this reason, they have asked us to create a Rolls-Royce that offers uncompromised luxury wherever they dare to venture. Cullinan is that car."
Müller-Ötvös also spoke about the new Rolls-Royce Phantom, which has been presented
with a 'Five-star Car' accolade at the Autocar Awards 2018.
Bitton also added that his company is the exclusive dealership for the Karma Revero,
which marks the return of the original luxury electric car.
Bitton and his vice-president of 33 years, Janet Cully, underlined how hard they
worked to become Quebec's only Rolls-Royce dealer in 2010, six years after the brand had pulled out of another Montreal dealership. "The only dealer in Canada was in Toronto; we had to convince Rolls- Royce we could sell more cars and we did just that," Bitton said. "There were 14 applications for a Montreal franchise. We won it and now there are five separate vehicles available: Ghost, Phantom, Dawn, Wraith and Cullinan.
Holand Automotive group continues to specialize in long term leasing of new and pre-owned vehicles of all makes and models.
